Manila Hotel
Getting to and from the airport in Manila can be difficult if the hotel is a long way from the airport and if the roads are congested like they often are. We will try to write down some places that you could stay while in Manila for 1 night before you head off on your travel and that are close to the airport.
Always thoroughly research the Manila hotel you plan to stay in first. Read reviews online and learn to distinguish what is true or fake. Double check prices and availability as well. Things you need to take into consideration are the cost to go to the hotel via taxi or shuttle. Often there is an airport pickup with the hotel and you need to arrange all this first.
Manila is a big city so if you wander around, don’t get lost and not make it back to your flight in time, give yourself plenty of time to get there before check in.
Always ask taxi drivers to turn on the meter before you get in, be firm and don’t come across as new and unsure. Know the costs before you go to the hotel or airport by taxi, ask online at the forum etc. That way when you get a taxi to a certain place you will have some idea of what they will charge you. Be polite and friendly and maybe offer a small tip of 20 pesos for a good taxi driver.
